Unit 4:  The Changing Word on Money

Class Four is a fascinating history and anthropology lesson.  We see how money has been viewed in various times and cultures.  We also learn how Muslims have perceived it.

Written exercise:  Think about the questions for Class Four.  Write a brief answer for the following question: 6)  Is the fact that moderate Islam, as opposed to terrorist belief, remains relevant to the social activities of this life a positive or a negative for its growth, particularly in Third World countries?  Was The Economist right in 1994 in predicting that the separation of spirituality and financial life might become a factor in the attacks on the World Trade Center?  If so, is there any peaceful way to end the current conflict without reintegrating faith and economic life in America and/or modernizing Islam?
